August 5th– Football 101
The Hatch Public Library will host a Football 101 class on Wednesday, August 5, at 1 pm. Mauston High School Football Coach Roland Lehman will present football basics for everyone.
August 6th and 10th– Mauston School District-Wide Registration
Mauston Schools have scheduled a district-wide registration for all students enrolled in PreK-12. If you have a child or children scheduled to attend one of their schools for the 2015-2016 school year, you must attend registration on Thursday, August 6 between the hours of 7:30am and 1:00pm OR Monday, August 10 between the hours of 1:00pm and 6:30pm at Mauston High School.
August 7th– Kendall Area Arts & Culture Organization Play in the Park
“Murder on the Oriental Rug”, a hilarious Comedy directed by Mary Jo Hill, will be at 6pm at the old Round House of the Elroy Sparta Trail.
August 7th– Graham Crackers Sing Along
Everyone will love the high energy and fast pace interactive musical sing along program designed to delight children and adults.
August 7th, 8th, and 10th– Friends of the Library Book Sale
Friends of the Library Book Sale will be Friday, August 7 from 9am to 5pm, Saturday, August 8 from 9am to 3pm, and Monday, August 10 from 9am to 5pm. There will be children’s books, videos, magazines, audio, adult fiction and nonfiction. Most items cost only 50 cents.
August 8th– Real Freedom 5K Run/Walk
Necedah Assembly of God will be hosting a Real Freedom 5K Run/Walk at the Lion’s Park in Necedah on Saturday, August 8. There will be a Men’s 100 meter “Put Yourself in Her Shoes” High Heel Dash. Registration opens at 7:30am and the run begins at 8:30. Fee is $30.
August 8th & 9th– Men’s Over 30 Slow Pitch Softball Tournament
The Briggsville American Legion Post 329 will hold a Men’s Over 30 Slow Pitch Tournament Saturday, August 8 and Sunday, August 9. Games will be played at 9am till dusk both days. There will be food, beer, soft drinks, and raffles.
August 8th & 9th– New Lisbon Sports Club Broadhead Tournament
The New Lisbon Sports Club will be holding a broadhead tournament on Saturday, August 8 from 8am-5pm and Sunday, August 9 from 8am to noon. It’s $10 per person and there will be a 60% payout.
August 10th– Blood Drive
Blood is a perishable product that can only come from generous volunteers. By donating blood, individuals can make a difference in the lives of patients in their community and throughout the nation. Upcoming blood donation opportunity: Monday, August 10, from 12:30pm – 5:30pm, Adams Friendship Community Center, 145B 569 N. Cedar Street, Adams. All blood types are needed to ensure a reliable supply for patients.
August 16th– Corn “N” Tater Festival
The Grand Marsh Development Corporation presents the 53rd Annual Corn “N” Tater Festival, Sunday, August 16. Food will be served from 11am-4pm
